FRAMING NEW SHOWER
When framing out a new shower, make sure that you have 2x4 studs in the wall where you would like to install the shower door. It's better to use wood studs rather than metal, where the frameless glass door hinges or panels are mounted. Use stacks of two or three - 2x4's and line them up with the future shower curb.It is crucially important to ensure the wall is plumb and properly level BEFORE framing your shower. It will be practically impossible to correct for true plumb and leveling at the tiling stage.
